Our key verses for Time of Refreshing are to do with our relationship with Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit.
So, turn around and change your attitude and your heart towards God as well as your old way of thinking. Seek His purpose for your life so that your past sins may be wiped away and completely erased as you turn to Jesus His Son and your Saviour and also so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day. Acts 3:19-22.
Our main core beliefs are as follows:
There is one true and living God existing eternally as three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and that He is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, unchangeable in His love, mercy, power, wisdom and righteousness. (Isaiah 45:22, Psalm 90:2; John 4:24; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
In essential beliefs — we have unity. There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all. Eph. 4:4-6
The Bible is the written Word of God “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16-17
Jesus is the Son of God Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
To be a follower of Jesus and the Way, you need to call on the name of the Lord and be “born again.” “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
Followers of Jesus are able to be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
“And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit,” Acts 13:52
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17-18
In non-essential beliefs — we have liberty “Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters… Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? So, then each of us will give an account of himself to God… So, whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.” Romans 14:1,4,12,22
